Measuring Guide
Look at the examples on the right to figure out how to find the measurements required for the various shaped lawn styles and then plan out your lawn on a sketch pad to ensure you get an accurate result. When you are dealing with an irregular shaped lawn edging, you may find that you lose up to 5% in offcuts. Once you have got your measurements input your findings into the calculator below to determine the total area you require.

Irregular shaped lawns
With irregular shaped gardens the way to find out the area is to divide the layout of your garden into regular shapes and add up the areas;A, B and C. (see below)

Triangular Shaped Gardens
Triangular gardens which are not like the example shown on the right, can simply be treated as two right angled triangles and then be added together; A + B. (see below)
